Terms of Service
Last updated 20 August 2026
These terms form an agreement between you and MoneyQuilt. By creating an account or using the app — including in guest mode — you accept them.
1. The service
MoneyQuilt is a money tracking tool for individuals and small businesses. It lets you record and import transactions, bills, debts, budgets, income and business records, and shows calculations and projections based on what you enter or import.
2. Not financial, tax or legal advice
Everything the app shows — payoff dates, healthy spend limits, cash-flow forecasts, tax figures, category suggestions and AI-generated summaries — is informational only. It is not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. You are responsible for decisions you make using it.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your login credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by people you invite into a business workspace.
Guest mode stores data on your own device only. It is not backed up, and clearing your browser data will remove it.
4. Your data and content
You keep ownership of everything you enter or import. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display it back to you, and to operate features you enable. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the right to upload the statements, documents and records you import, and to connect the bank accounts and email inboxes you link.
5. Connected services
Bank connections and email statement import depend on third-party providers and on the institutions themselves. Availability, coverage and data accuracy are outside our control. We are not responsible for errors, gaps or delays originating from a connected provider. You can disconnect any source at any time from Settings.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, including fraud or money laundering.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt our systems, or bypass access controls.
- Do not scrape, resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Do not upload malicious files or content you have no right to share.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change or withdraw features, and may schedule maintenance. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will try to give reasonable notice.
8. Fees
Core features are currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid plans, pricing and terms will be presented before you are charged, and existing free functionality will not be withdrawn without notice.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or create risk for other users or for our systems.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data, and our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date above will change and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the support address listed in the app.
