Import a bank statement and get your spending categorised in minutes

Almost every abandoned budget dies the same way: the person stops typing in transactions. The fix is not more discipline, it is removing the typing.
The three-step loop
- Import: upload a PDF or CSV statement, or connect the inbox where your statements arrive.
- Review: every row arrives pre-categorised with a money-in or money-out type; you fix only what looks wrong, in bulk if needed.
- Confirm: repeated charges are surfaced as suspected subscriptions or instalment plans, and you say yes or no.
Duplicates are the thing to get right
Overlapping statement periods are normal, and naive importers create the same transaction twice, quietly corrupting every total downstream. MoneyQuilt matches on date, amount and merchant and skips rows it has already seen, so re-uploading the same month is safe.
What you get afterwards
A monthly summary by category, a list of detected recurring charges, updated card balances and utilisation, and a cash-flow forecast that now includes everything you actually spend — not just what you remembered to log.
Put this into practice
Add your balances, import a statement, and MoneyQuilt does the maths for you.
